FAQS

General FAQs

  • I have styled women of all shapes, sizes and ages. Our packages are tailored to suit your individual needs, whether that’s extra-petite, plus-sized, tall, short, and everything in-between! I will also help educate you on how to dress for your specific shape so you have the tools to move forward after our sessions!

  • I believe that you deserve clothes at your current size, even if you are in transition. I have worked with clients going through various stages of life: postpartum, menopausal, you name it. It is always easier to alter your clothes down than it is up, but even without tailoring: I will help you find styles that will work with your fluctuations, changes, and make you look and feel like your best self, regardless of the number on the label.

  • Out of respect for our client’s privacy, we do not publicly disclose clients information without their permission. We can say however, that not a single client is a celebrity or someone who needs a new party outfit for every night. Our clients are women of all backgrounds: Expatriates from all over the globe, local Singaporeans, professionals, entrepreneurs, stay at home mothers, working mothers, and so much more. What my varied clientele does have in common is the desire to look elevated with minimal effort. I save my clients time and energy (valuable resources if you ask me!) and give them the gift of loving and owning their personal style: no matter the age, size or cultural background.

  • While traditional image consultants and some stylists offer color analysis as part of their services, I do not. My reasoning is simple: I don't believe in restricting your choices based on your skin tone or certain colors. Your preferences should be the main focus. If you love a color, wear it. If you don't, then don't.

In my opinion, it's more crucial to find garments with the appropriate fit, fabrics, and cuts that align with your lifestyle and personality than to be concerned with a limited spectrum of colors. If color analysis is something you're specifically seeking, I recommend seeking out a more traditional image consultant who offers that service.

  • Yes! Closet Reoutfits may be upgraded to the Full Reoutfit, sessions will be subject to availability.

However please keep in mind that while the two services are priced very differently, they are each intended to solve a different purpose!

If you are unsure what service you need, please contact me to discuss further and we can help you determine which is right for you.

  • If you really dislike shopping or are short on time, the Premier Full Reoutfit package was created just for you! Read more about it here.

For regular Full Reoutfit clients: I encourage you to come shopping with me in person, even if you prefer to purchase everything online later. I promise to make it as painless as possible. It is important from a sustainability standpoint to try certain cuts and styles out on your body.

Clients will be responsible for purchasing at stores and online pieces, except for those who have signed up for the Premier Full Reoutfit, where I will shop on your behalf with your credit card information.

  • Pricing is for our services only. Clothes will be an additional purchase, and clients are responsible for purchasing.

  • To respect our existing clients' confidentiality, we can't disclose details, but we'll gladly tailor our services to fit your budget. We prioritize open communication between stylist and client, ensuring you can share your comfort levels without judgment, either per-piece or for your overall budget. We want you to be happy with the items we select for you to try.

Typically, our approach prioritizes purchasing items of higher quality rather than straining your budget to acquire a specific quantity of items. This is a key driver of the work we do, helping clients move away from a “how many pieces” approach to a more curated, thoughtful, quality and price-per-wear driven purchasing approach. Generally speaking, we avoid shopping from fast fashion brands (including but not limited to H&M, Zara, Shein, ASOS, Boohoo, Mango) and others that don’t align with our business values, however, exceptions are made when we really believe the style itself will lend itself to serve a long-term purpose in your wardrobe.

We are also proud to suggest preloved styles from our shop and other resellers in Singapore if that is something you are open to adding to your sustainability journey. Personally, preloved is my favorite type of shopping and love doing it with clients! We’ll make it seamless with appointments and pre-selected items to your size where possible.

We have experience accommodating budgets ranging from about $100 SGD per item up to a total spend of $50K+ SGD, and everything in-between.

Our Full Reoutfits are a collaborative session where we encourage you to try new styles and pieces out of your comfort zone, while also getting you styles you love. We believe finding the right pieces for clients is more important than pressuring them into a style or excess pieces you'll only wear once or twice. We'll be there every step of the way to help you decide. We are also here to guide you towards making smarter investments on luxury styles, should that be of interest.

  • After your session with us, we assess the pieces we’ve decided together to part with and consider them for sale! Please read here for the specifics of our consignment terms.

Service Timing FAQs

  • If you are interested in a Reoutfit, I highly recommend booking & locking in a date with a deposit to avoid disappointment, as dates typically fill up weeks or months in advance. Please contact me for the latest scheduling updates.

  • To ensure the highest quality of service, I limit the number of clients I take on each month. This allows me to dedicate sufficient time to the pre-work and post-work involved for each client, which happens behind the scenes.

As part of my commitment to sustainability, I strive to work with clients who are willing to invest in their personal style for the long-term. I don't believe in chasing fleeting trends or quick-fixes that won't stand the test of time.

If you secure a date with a deposit, you'll automatically be added to a waitlist in case of cancellations or changes. This guarantees that you have a chance to book a spot should any openings become available.

  • All clients vary in timing: the average Closet Reoutfit takes 4 hours. If the process goes over 4 hours, this is considered a "larger wardrobe" and will be a premium of $230 SGD a hour for each additional hour.

  • When you are ready to book, we will lock in the 2 longest in-person sessions together: The Closet & In-person shopping. The other minor meetings will be booked ad-hoc in-between or after your main sessions, as I leave time in my calendar for all follow-ups!

  • We recommend splitting the Full Reoutfit into 2 sessions of 3-4 hours each. The average Full Reoutfit client spends approx. 10 hours in total with us "in-person," spread across the closet review, the shopping, any follow ups to the tailor or additional styling support, all within a 3 month time frame.

You can sit back and relax while we do the "behind-the-scenes-work," which includes (but not limited to): us sourcing the best items for you online, working with you via email/whatsapp/your Remix. None of this work is charged hourly, it’s all included in your package.

It is important to highlight: EVERY client is different and unique. There are some clients we spend the full 8 hours shopping, others we do completely exploratory and online. We can get a better sense of what you need once that initial in-home closet session is complete. While we may not be able to predict exactly where or how your hours will be spent until we begin, rest assured: it will be tailored to suit you and your individual lifestyle needs!

If you dislike shopping, please do not worry as most of our clients do! Our aim is to make it as painless as possible. We inject fun, energy, and definitely as many coffee, meals, or snack breaks as you need, all on us.

  • Closet Reoutfits: 9am-1pm or 12pm-4pm, weekdays only.

Full Reoutfits: 2 sessions are recommended.

    1st session: 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm

2nd session: 10am-2pm (with a lunch break on us) or 1pm-4pm

    Weekdays only.

*It is OK to have a break in-between the first & second sessions if your timing doesn't allow for 1 week. Some clients have had up to a month in-between and mentioned how much they loved "living with less!"

We understand taking the time to do a Reoutfit on the weekdays takes time out of your busy schedule, but we highly recommend it for your own time benefit: Weekends and evenings are very busy at stores: there is a lot of time wasted queuing at the cashier and fitting rooms. We find better service in the stores on the weekdays for assistance on sizing as well. If you are unable to take hours out of a weekday, we recommend waiting to book our service until you are able to.

  • To secure a booking, a 50% deposit is required upfront, but we understand life happens. If you need to change your date after you've booked a date, not to worry, we always leave some room for last minute changes.

Outside of Singapore / Virtual?

  • Yes, absolutely! As of 2024 I am available to travel to the following countries:

    Hong Kong, USA, UK, Australia

*These locations are chosen based on my familiarity with each shopping market. Not seeing your country? Please reach out to me to discuss!

  • At the time of booking, a quote based on current flight arrangements with be sent. Once dates are confirmed, you will be billed for the flight invoice (to be paid in full at time of contract signing) and the invoice for the 50% deposit of the service fee.

To keep travel services affordable, I do not bill for accommodation!

For Full Reoutfits, the Closet and In-Person shopping sessions should occur within 1 week. Follow up session may occur virtually or in-person depending on each client’s individual needs.

  • I’d love to work with you virtually! My sessions for virtual sessions work a bit differently but follow the same guidelines and pricing as our Reoutfits. Please contact me for more specifics.

Shop & Other FAQ’s

  • As part of our mission to drive sustainable shopping habits at the start, we only sell on consignment for clients who have opted for our styling services.

Our styling clients who have gone through the Reoutfit process have been given tips and advice on how to wear and re-wear existing pieces and how to "shop better." Our mission is to reduce overall global consumption of clothing, and we believe in stopping it at the source: when you consume in the first place.

We don’t believe in selling our way out of overconsumption as that perpetuates shopping in a way that doesn’t address your true wardrobing needs. Rather, we address the root causes first.

The items to sell are true excess: those that don’t add any value to your wardrobe, after our expert assessment during your Reoutfit.

Learn about the benefits of selling with us here.

If you are not ready for a Reoutfit, we understand. We highly encourage: rewearing, restyling, swapping with friends, family member or neighbors as a more sustainable alternative.

  • I love collaborating with other business or organizations who share a similar mission of circularity.

For my events, social media & speaking rates please contact me.

Previous speaking engagements include: AWA Speaker’s Lunch, Zerrin Talks @ Boutique Fairs, SSEW x Style Tribute Styling Event and hosting private swapping or shopping events.

Please note my schedule gives priority to private personal clients, and my schedule fills up typically months in advance. Reach out as soon as possible.
