Pass Me Forward

In case you missed it, I recently got a chance to work with the talented Theodora Vousta, filmmaker here in Singapore in making this video ad for a sustainable living video ad contest.

Of the 10 finalists, this video is the only one to feature an all female cast and crew.

I met Theodora through a friend at a jewelry launch party back in September and that’s when I told her about my business as The Reoutfitter. It was only a few weeks later when she saw the contest, came up with a whole idea centered around essentially what my business does, and asked if I’d like to style and be in the film. I then asked a few friends and neighbors if they’d like to be in the video, and they all came together to help out to make this beautiful little short about how a dress can be worn by different people.

Through my journey into becoming The Reoutfitter, what I’ve been the most amazed by (followed very closely by Theodora’s creative talent), is how women really support women to get things done. Through my clients I have met the most amazing women: coaches, entrepreneurs, career changers, risk takers and overall BADASSES. All who recognize that they want help with their clothes and outsource it to me, and trust me enough to let them in their homes and help. As vulnerable as hiring a stylist can be, I’m beginning to think that it’s actually the most brave thing one can do. And I’m so grateful to help and just be here in the presence of amazing, phenomenal women.

xoxo. Sera
